BECARV, founded by Michael and Eric Jeanty in 2011, began as a privately-owned family business. Initially focused on manufacturing customized technical solutions for aseptic operations in the biopharmaceutical sector, the company has recently introduced the Aseptic Sampling Hub, a groundbreaking equipment for the initial stages of cell-based manufacturing. Backed by two Walloon investors, BECARV continues to advance technologies that ensure contamination control and process integrity.

Development Program

With the growing adoption of single-use devices in biomanufacturing, the industry is increasingly focused on improving control over contamination risks throughout production processes. Regulatory bodies are reinforcing this trend by recommending the closure of upstream manufacturing steps to enhance both process quality and product safety. These evolving standards highlight the need for innovative technologies that align with the industry’s goals of achieving greater sterility and efficiency.

In response to these demands, BECARV has strategically expanded its initial field of expertise to address the industry’s most pressing challenges. The company’s first major step in this direction is the development of the Aseptic Sampling Hub, a single-use system designed to close the critical first step: the inoculation of cell lines into culture.

It automates the inoculation process with a self-disinfection mechanism to minimize contamination risks, and as a digitalized piece of equipment, it records data in real time, ensuring traceability and reproducibility of operations.

Looking ahead, BECARV is actively developing additional technologies aimed at closing other vulnerable steps in the manufacturing process. These solutions are designed to further strengthen contamination control, improve production quality, and enhance the safety of biopharmaceutical products. This commitment positions BECARV as a key player in advancing the standards of biomanufacturing technologies.

Identification of Client Needs

BECARV collaborates with clients through workshops to develop User Requirement Specifications (URS), ensuring that the solutions are customized to meet specific client needs.

Engineering & Manufacturing

BECARV oversees the delivery and installation of equipment at the client’s site, performed by cleanroom-trained technicians. We also provide staff training as required by the contract. The installation process complies with all standards, utilizing the ASTM E2500 verification approach, along with Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT and SAT).

BECARV offers ongoing technical assistance, maintenance, and inspection services. We also provide equipment re-qualification and upgrades, based on client feedback or evolving needs, as outlined in the Service-Level Agreement (SLA), ensuring sustained performance and regulatory compliance.
